Convenient & Affordable Veterinary Care at Your Home
Provided by Our Board Certified Veterinary Team Partners at Your Home
VETLYFT provides convenient service where a veterinarian visits your home to provide medical care for your pets. This can include routine check-ups, vaccinations, and treatment for illnesses or some injuries. The personalized environment reduces stress for pets, and owners can ask questions and discuss concerns in the comfort of their own home. House calls are particularly beneficial for pets that are anxious during travel or for those with mobility issues. In the event that our veterinary team determines that your pet’s needs are greater than can be provided in the comfort of your home, we escalate care to our state-of-the-art mobile veterinary clinic to treat your pet(s) in front of your home.

When the veterinarian arrives at your home, they will typically follow these steps.
- Assessment of Environment: The vet first evaluates the surroundings to ensure a safe and calm space for the pet. This includes checking for any potential distractions or hazards.
- Gentle Introduction: The veterinarian approaches the pet slowly and calmly, using a soft voice to help put the animal at ease. They may kneel or sit to be at the pet’s level.
- Observation: The vet observes the pet’s body language and behavior, looking for signs of stress or anxiety. This helps them gauge how to proceed.
- Familiarization: The veterinarian may allow the pet to sniff their hand or equipment, giving the animal a chance to get used to their presence.
- Comfort Measures: If the pet appears anxious, the vet might use calming techniques, such as speaking softly or offering treats, to build trust before proceeding with the examination.
- Gradual Examination: Once the pet is comfortable, the vet conducts a thorough examination, explaining each step to the pet owner and ensuring the pet feels secure throughout the process. This compassionate approach helps create a positive experience for both the pet and the owner.

Once the veterinarian arrives for the house call, and evaluates your pet with an exam, the veterinarian will provide any care as discussed or will recommend a course of action based on their findings. This may include administering medications, performing minor procedures, or providing immediate treatment to stabilize your pet. If further diagnostics or more intensive care is needed, the veterinarian will explain the options and may suggest transferring your pet to one of our partner clinics for advanced care. Throughout the process, they will keep you informed, ensuring you understand the diagnosis and treatment plan, and will answer any questions you may have about your pet’s condition or follow-up care.
